Posting Policy
These rules apply to marketplace listings, activity posts, event suggestions, profile content, public reviews, images and other user-generated content on CAnime.
1. General posting rules
- Post in the correct category and use clear, accurate titles, descriptions, photos, prices and location information.
- Only post items, services or activities that are located in Canada or genuinely available to Canadian users, unless the page clearly allows otherwise.
- Do not post duplicates, keyword stuffing, bait-and-switch listings, misleading prices, fake availability or content whose primary purpose is to drive traffic elsewhere.
- Do not require users to leave CAnime before basic item, price, schedule or safety information is provided.
- Do not repost removed content unless the issue has been corrected and the content complies with current policy.
2. Prohibited items and services
- Illegal goods or services, stolen property, counterfeit items, forged documents, recalled or unsafe products, and items that cannot be legally sold in your province or territory.
- Weapons, ammunition, explosives, controlled substances, drug paraphernalia, cannabis, tobacco, vaping products, alcohol, regulated medical products and other regulated goods unless expressly permitted by law and CAnime policy.
- Adult, erotic, sexual, escort, explicit or exploitative content or services.
- Hate content, discriminatory content, harassment, threats, doxxing, private personal data, non-consensual imagery or content that targets protected characteristics.
- Digital accounts, credentials, access tokens, game accounts, social media accounts, pirated software, malware, circumvention tools or unauthorized digital goods.
- Financial products, investment schemes, multi-level marketing, gambling, raffles, loans, cryptocurrency promotions or other high-risk offers not expressly approved by CAnime.
3. Marketplace listings
- Photos should show the actual item where possible. Stock photos must not mislead buyers about condition, size, authenticity or availability.
- Describe damage, stains, missing parts, bootleg status, altered costumes, handmade elements and sizing clearly.
- Do not list items you do not own or cannot deliver. Do not collect deposits unless both parties clearly agree and understand the risk.
- Ticket resale must comply with applicable laws, event rules and platform rules. Do not post fake tickets, speculative tickets or tickets you are not authorized to transfer.
4. Cosplay, props and fan goods
- Cosplay props must be safe, lawful to possess and transport, and accurately described. Real weapons or regulated replicas are not allowed.
- Fan-made goods, commissions and prints must respect copyright, trademark, publicity and platform rules. Do not falsely claim official licensing or brand affiliation.
- Counterfeit branded goods, fake designer labels, bootleg commercial merchandise presented as authentic, and unauthorized reproductions may be removed.
5. Activities, photography and meetups
- Activity posts must include accurate location, date, capacity, price, host information and material rules or restrictions.
- Photography posts must clearly describe service scope, deliverables, pricing, cancellation expectations and whether travel or studio costs are included.
- Do not post unsafe, exploitative, discriminatory, sexualized or coercive activities. Extra care is required when minors may attend or appear in photos.
- Respect venue rules, permits, public-space requirements, model consent, photographer credit and image usage permissions.
6. Reviews, reports and feedback
- Reviews must reflect genuine experiences and must not be fabricated, purchased, retaliatory, abusive or based on private information.
- Reports and feedback should be submitted in good faith with relevant context. False or abusive reports may result in enforcement.
- CAnime may preserve reported content, messages and attachments for safety review even if the public content is hidden or deleted.
7. Enforcement
CAnime may reject, move, hide, edit labels for, limit distribution of or remove posts that violate this policy or create legal, safety or community risk. Accounts may be warned, rate-limited, suspended or banned.
Policy examples are not exhaustive. If an item, service or behavior is unsafe, unlawful, misleading or harmful to the community, we may take action even if it is not specifically listed above.
